About
A therapist who meets you where you are
I’m Alex Rivera (she/her), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has supported Pacific Northwest families for over a decade. I combine a calm presence with clinical rigor so every session feels both grounding and purposeful.
Request ConsultationMy path to counseling
Before opening my private practice, I led school-based mental health programs and supervised clinicians in community settings. Watching those systems coordinate showed me how much lighter healing feels when support teams talk to one another. Today I work directly with families and adults to build practical skills and lower the shame that can surround asking for help.
Therapeutic philosophy
Collaborative and transparent
We co-create goals and adjust the pace together so progress never feels mysterious.
Body and brain awareness
Somatic tools and nervous system education keep progress grounded in the present moment.
Inclusive and trauma-informed
I honor each client’s culture and lived experience, making room for every family structure and neurotype.
