FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Transparency builds trust. Here’s what families and adults usually want to know before we work together.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider. I provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. HSA/FSA cards are accepted.

What ages do you work with?

Children ages 6–11, adolescents, and adults. Parent/caregiver participation is part of all child and teen work.

How long are sessions?

Intakes are 90 minutes. Ongoing child and teen sessions are 50 minutes with a brief caregiver debrief. Adult sessions run 50 or 75 minutes depending on needs.

What if my child won’t talk?

That’s perfectly okay. I use play materials, art, and sensory tools so kids can express themselves without needing to sit and chat.

Is telehealth available?

Yes. Teens and adults can meet via a secure HIPAA-compliant platform. Parent consultations and follow-ups can also be done remotely.

How do cancellations work?

Cancellations require 48 hours’ notice to avoid the full session fee. Illness happens—reach out as soon as you can so we can reschedule.

Are parents involved in teen sessions?

Yes. Teens need privacy, and parents need updates. You’ll receive regular check-ins, resources, and collaboration on goals.

What does therapy feel like?

Quiet, grounding, and collaborative. I translate clinical concepts into everyday language and regularly check in about pacing.

Still have questions?

I’m happy to talk through fit, logistics, or referrals.
